Every so often we like to do a round-up of the most viewed, shared and liked topics we’ve written about recently. And what better day to do this than Thanksgiving.
Now that you’ve indulged in too much of everything and changed into your “comfortable” pants, you have plenty of time to relax and catch up on the hottest topics on Lake Travis Lifestyle.
Let’s kick off a day of being thankful with an inspiring story. One of our writers, Emily O’Shaughnessy, wrote a beautiful article about her best friend’s battle with cancer in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Well, the support from Lake Travis residents poured out, which is beautiful in itself and this article has over 800 likes on Facebook alone. Alana Weston’s story (and her advice) is priceless, so if you haven’t read this article yet, please do.
Hill Country Golf & Guitar has LT residents singing a happy song. The grand opening was a few weeks ago and everyone is so glad to have this new spot nearby. Featuring the 18-hole Fender Course, a stage for live music and the Six String Grill, Hill Country Golf & Guitar has Lake Travis rocking. P.S. Keep an eye out for our December giveaway. It rocks!
Wow, you guys were jazzed to see Santa and the Tree Lighting at the Hill Country Galleria. Chances are, you got to ask Santa for a couple of things, listen to live music, do a little shopping and grabbed a bite to eat. If you didn’t get to see Santa, have no fear. He will be navigating his sleigh into the Hill Country Galleria until Dec 24. Busy guy!
We had a feeling LT would be excited about our Spooktacular Giveaway from Party Couture. The winner got an eerily awesome gift basket full of Halloween goodies like Halloween-themed paper plates, cups, napkins, bamboo utensils, glow-in-the-dark costume accessories, a ceramic “Spider Legs” plate and helium balloons. It goes without saying, Lake Travis is psyched to have a party store. Yes! Less drive time, more fun time.
When we recapped recent Lake Travis area news in our Lake Travis News Roundup in early October, we had no idea y’all would be so excited about it. Obviously we are pumped about having a new H-E-B in Lakeway and more importantly, a bunch of fun family-friendly venues that will accompany it. We’re also ready for a new youth sports complex because the Lake Travis area has tons-o-mini-athletes and parents who are just plumb “over” the Porta-Potty situation. Bring on the real bathrooms!
Other hot topics include Sage & Sweetgrass Spa, The Rolling Sculpture Car Show and The Daily Show’s taping in Austin.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us here at Lake Travis Lifestyle!
