Halloween is right around the corner and here at Lake Travis Lifestyle, we know nobody loves Halloween more than the LT community. We don’t just get ~~multiple~~ costumes for the kiddos, we all dress up. Pets included! We love tacky inflatables for the yard. The bigger, the better! We buy bags and bags and bags of Halloween candy. We trick-or-treat via golf cart, which is also decorated. Everything is bigger in Texas, right?

The 1st Annual Poodie Party: A Birthday Celebration for Poodie Locke

Get ready to putt for a cause on Saturday, October 4 at the first annual “Poodie Party” in honor of James Randall Locke, affectionately known as ‘Poodie’ of Poodies Hilltop Roadhouse.

This golf tournament and benefit will be held at the Pedernales Golf Club — also known as Willie Nelson’s Cut N Putt. You can plan on a full day of fun along with silent auction items, raffle prizes, delicious food and live music performances by The Tejas Brothers, Waylon Payne, Bobby Boyd, Bad Rodeo, Jimmie Lee Jones, Ru Payne Coleman and the fabulous Troubadillos. Plus, all of the fun will benefit HAMM (Health Alliance for Austin Musicians) and the Cut N Putt golf course.

YES Imports: Yard Art Springs to Life

If you live in the Lake Travis area, you probably drive by YES Imports all of the time. If you haven’t stopped by to check it out, you should definitely add that to your to-do list. YES Imports, located at 3307 Ranch Road 620 N, opened in May 2011, and has been delighting Austin with rustic Mexican furniture, clay pottery, interior and outdoor artwork, blown glass and more ever since.

Need a 5-foot-tall pink flamingo? They’ve got one. Looking for a herd of metal longhorns? Check. A cowboy boot? A herd of flying pigs? Check and check. It’s impossible to walk through the huge, colorful lawn of YES Imports without cracking a smile.
