Earlier this month, we caught up with Lexus of Austin General Manager Steven Walker to chat about the first dealership in the area, Lexus of Lakeway. We knew this topic on development in the area would stir up some controversy, which it did — and we wanted to share with you the perspective from Lexus. The 80,000 square foot facility is expected to open in July.
It goes without saying that you love the holidays, so it makes sense that this post about the annual tree lighting and Santa’s arrival at Hill Country Galleria snags a spot in the Top 10.
If you combine music, food and outdoor fun, you know you’ve got a winning combination in Lake Travis. You were excited to welcome Hill Country Golf & Guitar to the area, giving us another fun spot to soak up the sun, catch live music and play mini-golf with the kiddos.
In February 2014, we shared some of your favorite patios with gorgeous views, spacious surroundings and the happiest of Happy Hours. Many of you were sad to see Iguana Grill close its doors. And many of you are very excited that you’ll get to enjoy that beautiful space again soon when it relaunches as Lucy’s Fried Chicken.
When we said jaw-dropping, we weren’t kidding. In December 2014, we shared the news of the proposed changes for our iconic music venue, The Backyard. Plans for the venue include adding state-of-the-art production studios for TV and film, sound studios, additional music and event spaces, offices, etc.
We had already written about plans for the Oaks at Lakeway, but when we confirmed Torchy’s Tacos would be a new tenant, you went a little coo-coo. One of our readers summed up the Torchy’s excitement perfectly — “I. Can’t. Wait.” Well said, friend.
