Well it’s official.

The groundhog not only predicted an early spring, but he seems to have taken winter with him into the ground.

Warmer weather is on your mind. And since you live next door to Lake Travis — the bathing suit mecca of Austin — getting (and keeping) in shape is also something that might be on your mind this time of year.

Located in the heart of Lakeway in the Lakeway Village Plaza is Cafe Lago.

You are probably a regular. And have been for years. The little cafe seems to have always existed, humbly waiting to serve you delicious Migas.

The restaurant has not changed much in the 24 years they have been open.

The current owners, cousins Carleen Rubio and Miranda Valenta, took over in 2002 (Miranda came in in 2010 after Carleen’s mother sold her share to Miranda ) after the original owners retired. They have kept the little breakfast spot in its original state … with a few menu additions.
