Merry Christmas, Lake Travis! Uhm, er, well… it’s not technically Christmas, but you know how the holiday time warp goes after Halloween. Thanks to that weird discontinuity in the flow of time, Thanksgiving is like tomorrow, which means Christmas is in a week. Yikes!
But no need to panic, because the Lake Travis area will be chock-full of shopping & decor options, just in time for the holidays.
Need custom Christmas garlands for your home? Ready for some new Kendra? A sip of whiskey? A gallon of wine? Okay, maybe not a gallon …
Red Ruby Holiday
Remember when we introduced you to a local mom, floral artist, and entrepreneur, Gina Provopulos? Exciting news! Gina is opening a pop-up shop called Red Ruby Holiday in the Hill Country Galleria between Athleta and Cinemark, right next to Toni & Guy. The grand opening is Thursday, November 7th.
Ladies, if you want the most gorgeous, eye-catching holiday decor, this is the place to go. Gina has been wowing the Texas Hill Country with her stunning floral and decor for years. From school functions to private parties to elaborate weddings, Gina P. has been the name to know. Now she’s expanding her business to showcase what’s she’s best known for — holiday decor! Nobody does Thanksgiving and Christmas quite like Gina.
Her shop will carry an assortment of custom holiday décor, including pre-made items you can purchase, or you can visit the customization desk to have holiday wreaths and garlands made specifically for your home. By the way, her garlands will blow your mind.

Whiskey flights, anyone?
On Thursday, November 7th, they’ll be celebrating with smoked old fashioned featuring whiskey from Balcones Distillery.
On Friday, they’ll have live music with Andrea Marie. They’ve got a full calendar of events like trunk shows and live music to get you through the holiday season.
HCG Holiday Village
Starting on November 23, the Holiday Village at HCG will open through December 24th. It’s a pop-up village, mind you, not just a shop. This is a must-see featuring art jewelry and home goods from local artisans and decorated, winding walkways.
