The hardest part about celebrating Independence Day in the Lake Travis area is choosing where to go, because all of the events are so much fun.

We’re lucky to have such tough decisions! And now that we have beautiful blue water in the lake again, it feels like an extra-special reason to celebrate.

Lake Travis Area Weekend Roundup: June 19th – June 21st

We’ve had another week of soakers! And with the moisture that has been coming out of the Gulf, it’s feeling as humid as Houston around here!

Somehow, Tropical Storm Bill skirted around us and drenched everything just east of the Lake Travis area before it headed up to Dallas.

With some torrential downpours over the lake on Thursday afternoon, water is still flowing in and as of this Friday morning, Lake Travis is just shy of 670′ — 11 feet to full.

12 out of 13 public boat ramps on Lake Travis are open and most of Sometimes Island is underwater … but just under — so be careful if you’re taking dad out on the boat this weekend and navigating around the main basin. Word on the lake is that there’s still some debris floating around too.
