Recently I talked to an old friend who will soon relocate to the Lake Travis area with her family. She’s excited about the move, because like most folks she knows what a great area this is.
It’s certainly no secret that Austin is a cool place.
Known for it’s live music, food trailers, outdoor activities, local shops, top festivals, technology and thriving economy — the list goes on and on.
But my friend did have one important question on her mind: “Is it a good place to raise kids, too?”
Grilling is a sport. Barbecuing is an art — at least in Texas.
Besides being a great place to call home, the mild climate in Austin makes it easy to do both all year long.
There are plenty of places to discover world class barbecue in the Lake Travis area. You just might find it around the corner at the neighbors house or in your own backyard.
Whether you’re keeping it simple by grilling up some burgers with friends or getting serious by dedicating your day to the art of smoking a brisket, having the right tools for the job is key.
