It’s hard to believe Christmas Eve is here and the lovable guy in the red suit will make his way around the world tonight, delivering gifts to everyone. If you haven’t checked out the official NORAD Santa Tracker, it’s an awesome interactive website where you can see the spectacular gift-giving adventure in 2D, 3D with Santa cams, videos, games, music and much more.
There’s a running total of gifts delivered, which is around 1.8 million right now, an alert letting you know where he just arrived and where he’s headed to next. There are plenty of apps in the iTunes store counting down the historic night as well is you need to track the fun on-the-go.
Before you leave cookies out for Santa (we’ve also heard he appreciates a shot of eggnog!), you can mix up Magic Reindeer Food too. Just grab some oats and glitter and sprinkles and mix it all together. Then before the kiddos go to bed, they sprinkle it outside, so when the reindeer “fly and roam, this will guide them to your home.” You can find lots of recipes for reindeer food online.
Don’t forget, if you have an Elf on the Shelf, he (or she) gets to fly back to the North Pole tonight, hitching a ride on Santa’s sleigh. I know, I know. You wish that mischievous elf could stay longer because there’s just so much left for him to do in your house with candy or toilet paper or other stuffed animals or a bookshelf or a bottle of vodka. Alas, his job is done. (Cheers to that!)
