Editor’s Note: My first experience at The Boardroom was comped. It was so enjoyable that I continue to go … and the place that I had been going to for nearly ten years hasn’t called wondering why I haven’t shown up in a while.
Gentlemen. Have you been getting your haircut at a salon designed for ladies? Or the Super-Duper-Cuts that has you wondering what new style you’re going to walk out with today?
Last time you made sure to bring your baseball cap so you could quickly cover up your new do. The time before that you walked out looking like Lloyd Christmas.
Gentlemen — it’s time to get your haircut at a manly place … and enjoy the ultimate relaxed grooming experience while you’re at it.
Ladies — Father’s Day (June 21) is right around the corner if you’re looking for that place to send your man away for a couple hours. You’ll get him back cleaned up, relaxed and feeling like a man again (bonus for you).
Check out The Boardroom Salon for Men.
As soon as you walk in the door, they’ll have a cold beverage of your choice (yes, cold beer is an option) waiting for you to enjoy — and that’s a good start to a manly grooming experience that only gets better.
During my last visit, I had my 8 year old son tag along for a Buddy Cut — offered to boys 12 and under. His beverage of choice was a Dr. Pepper and that was all he needed to decide this was the best place ever to get a haircut and have some time with dad. And now we have a new father-son bonding activity.
The Boardroom offers everything from hair and shave services to massage and spa treatments. What you might really appreciate at the The Boardroom is the level of experience you can expect with every service offered.
As my son was getting his manly trim and shampoo while sipping a Dr. Pepper, I had a chance to chat with Tom Schoeve. An ex-executive of several large corporations and owner of the Austin locations, Tom understands the importance of hiring only the best people.
The hiring process takes time because Tom is willing to hold out for the right individual for the job. That choice is made so that your experience at The Boardroom is consistently top-notch.
Although you might discover that the professional who cuts your hair is the one you want to see again next time, you can trust that the staff making up the core team at The Boardroom will all do the consistent job you’re looking for when you get a haircut … or any other service. It’s not a place based on commissions for how many services and products are sold.
Tom is at the Hill Country Galleria location every other week so chances are pretty good you’ll run into him — be sure and challenge him to a game of shuffleboard.
Schedule your appointment at The Boardroom in the Hill Country Galleria (next to All Star Burger) or at their newest Austin location in Westlake.
Either place will have you looking and feeling like a manly man.
