What draws you to a new sushi restaurant?

Is it the temptation of new rolls, crafted in the sushi chef’s own style?

Or maybe it’s the atmosphere of a bustling sushi lunch, complete with bento boxes, sashimi, salads and mochi ice cream desserts.

For me, it’s the lunch specials, which is where I get to taste some of the restaurant’s most popular dishes and rolls … and maybe get a deal in the process.

And Lakeway’s newest sushi spot, Sakura Sushi & Bar does not disappoint on the fish front. It’s the newest restaurant in a growing collection of eateries to open at the Oaks at Lakeway, like nearby salad masters Mad Greens.

It’s that time of year yet again when love birds come out of the woodwork and coworkers make googly eyes over too-low cubical walls.

When kids create heartfelt, glue-sticked masterpieces and makeshift flower kiosks spring up alongside 620 like bluebonnets.

Yes friends, Valentine’s Day will soon fill the Lake Travis area and with so many fantastic dining options to consider, it’s time to get cracking on those reservations.
