Happy Thursday, friends! Easter is this Sunday, and there’s a long list of celebrations in and around the Lake Travis area.
On Wednesday, Cathy Hale shared a special Easter Edition of LTL to help you make your plans. From Easter Egg Hunts to brunches and buffets to Easter pics with baby goats, there’s something for everyone.
Where the wildflowers are …
Texas may look scorched in the summer, but we do springtime scenery perfectly. Bluebonnets and Indian paintbrush are about to be in full bloom next week. Here are the best places to enjoy the fantastic wildflowers in Central Texas.
When you need more places to eat in the Lake Travis area …
A new spot for burgers, brews, and salads will be opening behind 827Ray’s in May. Run by the same owners, Texas Street Grill will be located in the pavilion space on the property. The main restaurant will remain open. Think “campus” concept similar to Apis and Pizzeria Sorellina.
And this place is working to open this summer in the space formerly known as Hill Country Golf & Guitar.
When you wanna turn left …
Turning left in Lakeway. *sigh* It’s not that you can’t turn left, it’s just stressful, dangerous and problematic to do so. But, of course, in our day-to-day lives, we have to make left turns.
Well, progress is being made to make 620 safer — remember the TxDot Feasibility Study? You may notice protected left turn bays/medians are now in place. We like to call them “those shiny, white stick thingies … ”
What to do if you’re out and about tonight …
Thursday evening is hopping with live music: George Devore, Tom Ben Lindley, and The Mismatch are playing at Poodies, Darrell Goldman is playing Mercer Street Dance Hall, and Carl Hutchens is performing at Grumpy’s, and Tommy Shane Steiner & Drew Womack are playing at Steiner Ranch Steakhouse.
Have a great weekend, and we’ll catch you next week!
