Trails at 620: What’s New. What’s Coming Soon. What’s Here.
Almost exactly a year ago, we shared some exciting news with you about Trails at 620 taking shape with new dining, shops, businesses, lodging and much more.
Today let’s take a look at how all of those plans panned out and what’s next for this growing dining and entertainment center in the Lake Travis area.
Here’s the scoop on what the Trails at 620 has to offer.
Lake Travis Local: Why Female Entrepreneurs Thrive in Texas
We know our slice of the Texas Hill Country is known for many great things. Yes, the Live Music Capital of the World consistently sits atop practically every “Best Of” list for living, working, eating and playing in the United States. What you might not know is it ranks highly as a great city (and state) for female entrepreneurs.
When we began our Lake Travis Local series in November 2014, we had every intention of writing about men and women, yet all of our articles have featured women. We actually joked about it internally because we felt bad for the fellas. Our local ladies like Wendi Aarons, Heather Campbell-Green, Holly Mills-Gardner, Karen Killough, Jenny Cokins, Candace Thrash and Whitney Hengstebeck (just to name a few!) were snagging the spotlight.
But at Lake Travis Lifestyle, we go where the stories take us and if you dig deeper into the female entrepreneurial success stories in Austin and Lake Travis, as well as Texas as a whole, you can begin to see why this is the case.
Lake Travis Summer Camp Series: Science, Hobbies & Sports
It’s time for Part 2 of our Summer Camp Series! Last week, we wrote about the wonderful art, dance, music and theater camps at places like Paiyh Dance Studios, TexARTS, Painting with a Twist, Color Me Mine, The Musicians Woodshed, Lakeway Activity Center and more.
This week, it’s all about Science, Hobbies & Sports! We found classes that range from toddlers to teens and run the gamut from cooking and sewing to exploring space, building robots and creating video games. If your kids are looking for room to roam, bounce, tumble, “nutmeg,” ride, race, ski or sail, don’t worry, we’ve got ya covered. (Whew!)
You’ll find cool camps from Avila Creative Soccer, Austin Yacht Club, Sail & Ski, Rolly Pollies, MyTime Fit Gym, Bee Creek Riding Center and Lakeway Activity Center (City of Lakeway), but as we said last week, despite our best efforts, we know this isn’t a comprehensive list of ALL of the great summer camps in the area. If we’ve missed one you love, please share it in the comments section on the Lake Travis Lifestyle Facebook page.
Trails at 620 is Taking Shape: Phase 2 News
We’ve covered just about all of the development news we could find in the Bee Cave and Lakeway area, so now it’s time to talk about the new entertainment and business district taking shape at 8300 N. RR 620 — Trails at 620.
If you’ve driven by lately, you may have noticed new buildings popping up. And if you haven’t been there lately, you need to check it out. It has been dubbed an “entertainment district” because it’s home to restaurants, a movie theater, shopping and more. Now we’re getting a better idea of exactly what the “more” will be and how it will all mesh nicely together for the community.
