Beansprout Pediatrics continues to set the gold standard in health and wellness for children in the Lake Travis area. Not only do they provide medical services with a smile, but they’ve also got exciting things happening like the Best Pediatrician in Austin nomination, back-to-school tips, medical ear piercing, walk-in hours, allergy services, and viral dance videos. We’ll get to the dancing shortly.
Over the years, families in Lake Travis have watched Dr. Danielle Grant grow her practice, which seemed to triple in size overnight. In addition to their primary location at 13917 West Texas 71, back in August of 2017, Beansprout opened a new location in Dripping Springs so they can serve even more families in the Texas Hill Country.
Last week, Beansprout announced Dr. Grant’s pediatric dance partner in crime, Dr. Brian Temple, was nominated as the Best Pediatrician in Austin.
Meet Dr. Brian Temple
Dr. Temple and Dr. Grant were in residency together and shared a lot of the same philosophies on pediatric care, so their professional partnership at Beansprout makes sense.
Their mutual love of children and dedication to medicine is at the heart of Beansprout Pediatrics, and the staff at both locations reinforces those same ideals.
If you haven’t met Dr. Temple yet, you’re in for a treat when you do. He lives in Lakeway with his wife, daughter and two sons, so it’s practically impossible to have a concern about your child that he hasn’t already heard. As Dr. Temples like to joke, “I’ve seen everything!”
It’s worth noting if you have sons who are reaching that age where they’d like a male doctor instead of a female doctor, Dr. Temple is your guy. His friendly, outgoing personality gives him the ability to have meaningful conversations with children of all ages, especially tween and teenage boys. Dr. Temple has a way of making potentially awkward discussions normal.
Newsletters you’ll actually read
When Lake Travis area families get hit with the chaos of back-to-school medical needs or a nasty flu season, Beansprout’s approach to keeping everyone healthy is impressive. Let’s say, when Beansprout e-newsletters hit your Inbox, you’ll read them.
They send updates about what kind of icky germs are making their way through the schools and what parents need to know. It’s a no-nonsense approach that parents appreciate.
Same day sick visits & more
Beansprout has expanded their services to offer more same-day sick visits (with a separate waiting area for sick, well, and newborns). They do ImPACT concussion testing, allergy testing, immunotherapy drops, complimentary prenatal consultations, travel medicine consultation, and vaccines.
Medical ear piercing
No need to go to the mall for ear-piercing like we used to do back in the day. Now your kids can get holes professionally punctured in their ears.
Beansprout uses a unique ear piercing system that is only available to physicians, and a pediatric nurse practitioner administers it. Plus, they use numbing cream to ease discomfort.
And now, the dancing
On July 31, 2018, Beansprout posted a video of “Dr. G. and Dr. T.” busting some moves to Drake. We like it when our pediatricians dance because the video got more than 10,000 views and 52 shares.
Congrats to CPNP Natalie Buchanan
In March 2017, we shared the inspiring story of Natalie Buchanan, a CPNP at Beansprout. We’d like to wish her and her husband congratulations, because they just welcomed their first child into the world on August 8. You’re in good hands, Baby Pierce!
If there was a Drake dance-off between Dr. Grant and Dr. Temple, who would win? Let us know which doc has the best dance moves on our Facebook page.
