With the opening of H-E-B in Lakeway, a slew of new restaurants are set to open in the beginning of 2016 as part of the Oaks at Lakeway development.
January is the month for at least a couple of places with firm opening dates. And as more of the finishing touches come together, it won’t be long before you have several new choices for food, drink, and entertainment in the Lake Travis area.
What new restaurant opening in the Oaks at Lakeway are you most excited about?
High 5
The locally owned entertainment venue will include a full service restaurant and bar, 28 bowling lanes, video game arcade, and a two-story laser tag arena. You’ll also have five private rooms for booking your large parties and private events.
If you’re looking to get away from the kiddos, you can escape to “Up-Top,” an upscale bar and lounge with its own set of bowling lanes.
High 5 is set to open its doors on January 11, 2016!
McArthur’s
The locally owned and operated gastropub from Lakeway resident Alan McArthur opens the last weekend of January 2016.
McArthur’s will offer a dine-in menu including steaks, hamburgers, salads, pastas and desserts. You’ll also be able to call in for delivery as long as you live within a 7-mile radius of the restaurant. Check out the website for the countdown to opening.
Torchy’s Tacos
The Central Texas taco juggernaut is finally making it out to Lakeway!
Torchy’s has your beef and chicken staples along with more adventurous pairings including salmon, brisket, and fried chicken. For a little added variety you can order off the secret menu.
Torchy’s fills a large breakfast taco void in the Lakeway area. And if you live on the Mansfield Dam side of 2222, you won’t have to make the crawl up 620 to the Anderson Mill location for your Torchy’s fix.
Trattoria Toscano
If you’re seeking more Italian influenced options, then you’ll want to check out Trattoria Toscano, a new restaurant from the owner of Siena Ristorante Toscana (360 and 2222). The Tuscan eatery will feature fresh and seasonal options and is expected to open at the end of January.
MAD Greens
This last coming soon restaurant isn’t one that started in Texas, but is all about sourcing local ingredients straight from area farms, bakeries, and dairies.
MAD Greens was started back in 2004 in Centennial, Colorado. Since that time the restaurant has been acquired by AC Restaurant Group — a Coors family company — and has expanded into numerous markets.
There are five new locations set to open in Austin in early 2016. One of these new locations will be in the Oaks at Lakeway.
