New Year’s Eve in Lake Travis: Celebrations for 2016

Written by KT Tubb | December 28, 2015

Lake Travis 2016 New Years Eve

It’s almost time to say goodbye to another year!

Lucky for all of us who call the Lake Travis area home because there are options to please every party goer before Father Time pays a visit. From award winning restaurants to stay-cations close to home, you’re sure to find the perfect place to watch the ball drop.

Like last year’s list of New Year’s Eve celebrations in Lake Travis you’ll want your dancing shoes for any one of these extravaganzas counting down the last few hours of 2015. So ready your noisemakers for at the stroke of midnight the confetti will drop and the hourglass will become anew.

Sonesta Hotel Bee Cave

It’s hard to choose the top spot for NYE 2016. So when I heard Help Our Wounded Warriors was throwing their New Years Eve Gala at the Sonesta Hotel, I knew it’d be first on the list. Tickets are now available for the annual event benefiting the wounded soldiers of America.

The festivities begin at 7pm and continue late into the night. Beginning with cocktails on the rooftop, followed by dinner and dancing and a champagne toast at midnight there’s nothing more to ask for! Tickets start at $100 per person and the hotel has a special $99 room rate for the event.

Check out @SonestaBeeCave for more information.

Steiner Ranch Steakhouse

Boasting some of the most spectacular views of Lake Travis, Steiner Ranch Steakhouse is a perfect choice for ringing in the New Year. Sip on champagne or their “New Year’s Wish” cocktail while finalizing your resolutions.

Paired with the incredible views, the Steakhouse will be offering a four-course New Year’s Eve dinner. Enjoy featured menu options like Salmon with Lobster Au Gratin or scallops wrapped in bacon and dipped in Maple Bourbon Sauce. Stick around until midnight for the fireworks!

The Oasis on Lake Travis

Another destination sure to be on your list for New Year’s Eve or any eve is The Oasis. Known for its spectacular sunsets, you’ll be happy if you let them prove why they’re the place to be when the stars come out as well.

Dance the night away with live music presented by Dysfunkshun Junkshun, a local Austin favorite. A buffet will be served from 7:30pm – 10pm and a complimentary Champagne toast at midnight. Reservations are required and at $150 per couple spots will fill up quick.

Travassa

If you’re lucky enough to spend the last day of 2015 at the spa … stay the night! Let time slip by while pampering yourself with Travassa’s array of massages, healing rituals, and beauty treatments. If you’re not careful you could slip right into next year and miss their New Year’s Eve bash.

Celebrate with Travassa and you’ll be spoiled with live music by the Lucky Strikes, s’mores by the fire pit, and a 5-course dinner with wine pairing. Complimentary truffles and a champagne toast put an end to a rejuvenating day and a fresh start for a promising year ahead.

Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa

Looking to make a weekend out of New Year’s Eve? With a vast list of amenities like a championship golf course and rejuvenating spa, Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa has something for everyone. I guess that’s why they’re throwing two parties.

For the family, reserve your spot now for the “Count Down Around the World” Party. Children 4 to 13 will enjoy an evening of fun themed activities, a dinner buffet, and a midnight toast.

For adults, the New Year’s Magical Eve Dinner & Party is a must! Dancing, wine, and a casino are just some of the reasons this is a great place to spend New Year’s Eve.
