You may recognize the colorful clothing store by its old moniker, Young & Fabulous. July 4th, 2015 was their grand opening in their new location at the HCG, moving a few doors down the lane.
While the same local family runs the store, Claire Saldaña was put in place as the shop’s buyer and manager, giving the store a new kind of personality and flair.
Lake Travis Lifestyle got in touch with their digital marketing and social media director, Alexandra Wilson, the other half of the duo of women who run the shop, to see what new things you can expect to see since their second opening and what makes the Lake Travis area such a great place for emerging fashion.
LTL: How did you choose Bee Cave and the Hill Country Galleria as the home of LURE by Y & F?
Alexandra: The owners of LURE by Y & F live in the community and saw the need for a new fresh perspective for women’s fashion that was affordable and transitional.
LTL: Describe LURE by Y & F’s typical customer.
Alexandra: Mamas on the go, business women and ladies who love exclusive fashion. Most of our customers are from the community so they don’t want to look like anyone else.
We’re known for being a one stop shop for finding a great pair of denim or date night dress. We have mamas that are really busy and we understand : baby in one arm, groceries in the other call for effortless outfits.
LTL: Are there any upcoming events we can expect to see at the store?
Alexandra: Being that we’re a family-owned business we love to treat our mamas, so the first Saturday of every month we host Moms & Mimosas. We’ve also have a huge back to school drive in the works, so we’ll definitely keep y’all in the loop for that.
LTL: What is your philosophy about fashion?
Alexandra: Fashion is an opportunity to express your individuality to the world. So, it’s amazing getting to know our clients and encourage them to be confident in whatever they wear. We strive to empower women with what not only looks good, but feels good.
LTL: What’s your favorite aspect about running a clothing boutique?
Alexandra: Such as life — every day is different. People buy clothes for many reasons: weddings, birthdays, trips, and my favorite … just because! It’s a very rewarding feeling helping women feel better about themselves or try something they wouldn’t normally try. As women we are our worst critics and nothing makes you feel better than the perfect outfit.
LTL: What can we expect to see at LURE by Y & F in the future?
Alexandra: We want to continue to connect with our customers and provide an easy shopping experience for them to take their looks from day to night effortlessly.
