When it goes from drought to deluge …
This historic Texas-sized flood happening in the Highland Lakes area is hitting us hard. And by us, I mean our entire community. Before we look at weekend events, we hope you — your family, friends, and neighbors — are all safe and sound.
The above photo was taken at Lakeway City Park on Wednesday. The picture we ran in our October 17 article is the same park photographed less than 24 hours earlier. Yes, those lush, green grounds you see on Tuesday were submerged by Wednesday morning.

Our friends at Sundancer Grill had to shut down operations on Tuesday afternoon. And now the restaurant is underwater.

This video pretty much sums it up.
When you don’t believe your eyes …
LTL’s Cathy Hale walked over to Lakeway City Park Wednesday morning to see the flood waters. When she walked down to the lower grounds of the park, she was shocked to see this.
