Happy Thursday, friends!
Relaxing on the beach, hitting the slopes, or having a staycation — we hope you’re enjoying Spring Break 2018.
Let’s get you caught up on all the local happenings.
What to say when someone says you don’t have a heart …
Lakeway City Center developers, Legend Communities Principal Haythem Dawlett said, “We don’t have a heart in this community.” Most Lakeway residents don’t want a new heart with increased traffic and other issues posed by a new center. No more mattress stores and yogurt shops, please.
What to do when spring arrives …
It’s time to rake up the leaves, clean up the yard and get ready for hanging out on the patio. When winter ends, and the sun comes out in Austin, so do these guys. Be careful out there.
What to wear this weekend …
Grab your best green garb, because St. Paddy’s Day is this weekend.
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Proof & Cooper in Dripping Springs with live music from One Eye Open, corn beef & cabbage, green beer and Banger Sausage on a stick.
LT Corner Pub, Lake Travis’ only Irish pub, is celebrating St. Paddy’s Day with drink specials and live music from Jay Webber Band and Knockferry Bridge.
Grumpy’s Saloon is celebrating St. Paddy’s Day with food & drink specials, live music and introducing … Guinness on tap! The fun starts at 11am.
What to do if you’re out and about today or tonight …
Thursday evening is hopping with live music: Wink Keziah and Duke Fame are playing at Poodies, Bob Appel is playing Mercer Street Dance Hall, and Carl Hutchens is performing at Grumpy’s.
Plus, if you’re feeling crafty, catch Spring Crafts at the Lake Travis Community Library today from 1pm-3pm.
Have a great weekend, and we’ll catch you next week Lake Travis!
