It’s going to be a beautiful weekend in the Lake Travis area with sunny skies, cooler temps and 30%-40% humidity. What a treat!
Whether you’re on the land or on the lake, there’s plenty of live music to enjoy. The Saturday Night Concert Series is back at Hill Country Galleria and KLBJ’s Sunset Concert Series is returning to Ernie’s on the Lake every Sunday.
Relief and recovery efforts for victims of Hurricane Harvey are still in full swing and there are lots of ways to lend a hand. Last week, we introduced you to LT residents making a difference like Lake Travis Fire & Rescue and listed local drop-off locations that are accepting donations.
With Irma and Katia on the way, we extend our thoughts and prayers to everyone who needs it. Be kind and stay safe.
In honor of 9/11, Hill Country Galleria is hosting a 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on Monday at 7:46am. Bee Cave Police, Lakeway Police and Lake Travis Fire Rescue will participate by climbing the equivalent of the 110 stories at the World Trade Center. The public is welcome to cheer for our brave police and firefighters.
Enjoy your weekend, friends!

Get out of town
Technically it’s not “out of town,” but it’s probably a 30 minute drive for LTL readers, so we’ll let this one slide. Plus, we know how much you love your four-legged friends …
Austin Pets Alive! is hosting an Adoption Party on Sunday from 11am-4pm at El Chilito (6524 Burnet Rd.) to help pets displaced by Hurricane Harvey find homes. Austin Pets Alive! received hundreds of animals from all affected areas, most of them from shelters in dozens of communities.
APA! currently has over 670 dogs in short-term foster homes and now they need to be adopted. They are also accepting monetary donations to support all of these sweet rescued pets.
