It’s time to grab your monogrammed Yeti and enjoy everything happening in and around the Lake Travis area — it’s Friday! It’s also the first day of fall.
Temperatures are supposed to drop slightly, but the humidity is going to linger. If you’ve got that “icky” allergy feeling that’s because ragweed, elm, and grass are in the high range. Unfortunately, the stable humidity will keep it there. Meh.
Before we jump into weekend activities, let’s take a quick look back.
On Thursday, Cathy tried to make sense of the Texas homecoming mum tradition. Luckily Lake Travis residents chimed in to shed some light on this quirky Lone Star State tradition. If you’re not from Texas, it’s worth a read.
In odd news, Bee Cave’s Baguette et Chocolat found itself in the middle of controversy when a customer walked in with a concealed handgun. There was no violence involved, but the story sparked heated conversations from gun rights activists. Pro-pastry activists are putting out the virtual fires.
Enjoy your weekend, friends!
