Lake Travis Lifestyle Weekend Roundup: September 15-17, 2017

Written by Todd Hower | September 15, 2017

It’s going to be another beautiful weekend in the Lake Travis area with plenty to do and see.

Today we’re wishing the Sunset Capital of Texas early congrats on their 35th anniversary! You can celebrate with The Oasis on October 6 at their anniversary bash. Don’t forget, The Oasis is still collecting donation items for Harvey victims too.

Before we jump into weekend activities, let’s take a quick look back.

On Thursday, Cathy took us on a tasty trip to Opie’s BBQ in Spicewood for award-winning meats and mouth-watering side dishes. We introduced you to a new food truck in the Hill Country called The Rooster — perfect for breakfast or lunch. And congrats to Pure Barre Lakeway on new ownership and studio renovations. Join them this weekend for free classes and a party on Saturday night.

In other news, Lakeway residents are seeing tons of skunks in the Lake Travis area. In fact, way more than normal.  It’s not just one or two, it’s like a whole family of skunks strolling around in the middle of the day. You may recall we wrote about tips to help you (and your pets) avoid getting punked by a skunk. For anyone new to the Lake Travis area, you may want to give it a read.

Enjoy your weekend, friends!
