The warmer weather keeps coming and along with it comes more events.
The first weekend in March gets rolling on Saturday morning with the Lakeway Citywide Indoor Garage Sale. Spend the afternoon at the Texas Independence Celebration at Lucy’s on the Lake. Or catch the A-Town Showdown on Lake Travis at Sometimes Island.
Two big local races are going down on Sunday — Run the Ranch 10K, 5K & Kids Fun Run in Steiner Ranch (benefiting the Hill Country Special Needs Alliance), and Run for a Purpose 5K & KidsK in Lakeway (to fight lung cancer and in honor of Rexanna Hawkins).
Rodeo Austin kicks off the big city events with a Cowboy Breakfast and BBQ Austin. And it wouldn’t be the first Sunday in March without the ABC Zilker Kite Festival.
There’s a lot more for you to do this weekend including farmers markets, tours & tastings, a free kids workshop, volunteering in the parks, a modern home tour, Sherwood Forest Faire, and plenty of live music on your favorite patio.
