Happy Friday, Lake Travis!
If you’re just checking in with us this week, we’re so glad you’re here! Let’s get caught up on what’s happening around the Lake Travis area and then we’ll jump into the weekend roundup.
On Wednesday, Cathy put together an update with the latest food + drink openings — and closings — in the area. You’ll also find out who’s moving in at the Gateway to Falconhead development and a little rant about living in Lakeway.
Other top stories include The Grove opening another location in Cedar Park, Lake Travis Thrift Shop celebrates 26 years, and a plane crashed into Lake Travis.
Austin clocked its 13th day of the year at or above 100 degrees on Thursday, and a new business opening in Hill Country Galleria is all about the heat. Well, the sun actually …
SunPower by Freedom Solar will celebrate the grand opening of its new solar retail design center at Hill Country Galleria on Saturday with a festive, family-friendly event. Join them from 10:30am until noon for refreshments, music, kids’ activities, and more. Plus, you can get to know the benefits of solar energy and how you can use it in your home or business.
Want to test it out? Bring your electric bill and Freedom Solar can look up the address on Google Maps and create a solar project specifically designed for you.
If you need a break from the heat, it’s opening weekend for A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline featuring 20 of her greatest hits at TexARTS with shows on Friday at 7:30pm, Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2pm.
There’s plenty to do and see in Lake Travis this weekend, so have a great one!
