The Lakeway Arts Commitee presents the Lakeway Big Band Bash will take place on February 13 from 8-10 p.m. at Lakeway Activity Center. Guests will enjoy Kent Dugan’s 17-piece orchestra, The Republic of Texas Band, featuring Lakeway singers David Cummings and Lisa Clark. Free & open to the public.
Irish Music Night at LT Corner Pub (every Tuesday 7pm-9:30pm)
Brown Bag Lunch Concert Series every Thursday in January and February at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek. February 16th — The Robert Skiles Quartet will present a musical valentine. Vocalist Shawnda Birch will be featured as they present popular songs with a taste of jazz. Skiles is renowned as an orchestra leader, composer and college teacher. He performs in many venues, including annual shows at the One World Theatre.
Take a walk! Read a book! Families can enjoy a Valentine’s Day story while taking a short stroll around the StoryWalk trail behind Lakeway City Hall from Feb. 1-14.
Lakeway City Hall Art Gallery welcomes the works of Jane Fatino in its latest exhibit that runs now through Feb. 14. The display may be viewed during regular office hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at Lakeway City Hall, 1102 Lohmans Crossing.
Save the date
Sing and dance to the music of Suede, Austin’s premier cover band, at the Spicewood Arts Society’s annual “Rockin’ the Vineyard” fundraiser at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18 at Spicewood Vineyards. Rockin’ the Vineyard benefits arts programs in local schools and scholarships awarded to area high school seniors pursuing an arts career. Last year the Spicewood Arts Society awarded five $1500 scholarships.
Lakeway Indoor Garage Sale will be held at Lakeway Activity Center on March 4, 2017 (8am – noon)
