It’s the first weekend of fall and along with it comes a whole bunch of runs, walks, bike rides, festivals and pumpkin patches!
Here locally, we have the CC4C 4th Annual Micro Marathon at the Hill Country Galleria. This community event helps ten local children with rare or undiagnosed diseases. The champion teammates are local celebrities including WWF superstars, Jack Ingram, Tanya Streeter, Holly Mills Gardner and more.
The Domain will be hosting the 33rd Schlotzsky’s Bun Run on Sunday with proceeds from the race going to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
If you can’t run this weekend, get signed up for the Fit Fox 5k happening at the Lakeway Swim Center on Sunday, October 4th. All proceeds will go to Austin Pets Alive!
Support numerous Lions charities with a bike ride through the Hill Country at the 9th Annual Rip Roaring Ride in Liberty Hill on Saturday. Or help families in our local community facing breast cancer by participating in the Texas Mamma Jamma Ride in Martindale.
This weekend is also the fall round of the 35th Annual Pecan Street Festival in downtown Austin’s Sixth Street Historic District.
And if that’s not enough, we have the opening of two pumpkin patches! Harvest the Fall Fun at Sweet Berry Farm in Marble Falls and Fall Festival & Great Pumpkin Maze at Barton Hill Farms in Bastrop.
It will also be a great weekend to kick back on your favorite Lake Travis area patio. Enjoy some live music and the start of fall.
