With more rain in the forecast, this weekend looks like it could be a wet one — come on 681′! But don’t let the wet weather spoil your weekend fun … there are plenty of things to do inside and out — grab your umbrella just in case.
Besides all the live music and events in the Lake Travis area, there are also a couple of indoor events in the big city. If you’re hanging out with the kiddos, I recommend Austin Museum Day on Sunday (a perfect thing to do on a rainy day). For a date day/night, be sure and check out Fantastic Fest going on at the Alamo Drafthouse on South Lamar.

In the Big City
Austin Museum Day is a free, city-wide rediscovery of Austin museums held on the penultimate Sunday of the month of September. It provides the public with a free access to exhibits and activities representing more than 35 Austin cultural institutions. (8:00am)
Fantastic Fest is held each year at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and it’s the largest genre film festival in the U.S., specializing in horror, fantasy, sci-fi, action and just plain fantastic movies from all around the world. September 18-25, 2014.
