Walking your dog, letting the kids run around or just taking in a breezy afternoon doesn’t get any easier than this.
Pull into the City of Bee Cave Central Park and you’ll see that while there is plenty to do at this jewel of outdoor space, there’s also lots of room for plenty of down time.
Located just off the intersection of Ranch Road 620 and Bee Cave Parkway (map) in the city of Bee Cave, Central Park is home to nearly two miles of paved trail that winds its way across the length of the park.
Visitors can be seen jogging, pushing a stroller and riding bikes. You also can take your canine friends through the large culvert that connects the main park with the pooch-friendly dog park on the north end.
Other attractions and amenities at the park include: a large pavilion and playground, located near the parking lot entrance; a small pavilion and playground, for younger children; an interpretive area complete with tube drums, vibration pipes and rocks for sitting or climbing; a sport court with basketball goals; a recreation meadow, where local youth teams can be seen practicing during the fall and spring seasons; and a passive meadow.
You might notice structures designed for a disc golf course, which was part of the original plan for the park. Unfortunately, this feature doesn’t look like it will be completed any time soon because the city is having issues with State and Federal guidelines that govern access to the course tee boxes … I’m not sure what that’s all about!
You can still spend hours relaxing and enjoying all that Central Park has to offer. Bathrooms are clean, trails are neat and smooth for all levels of walking and jogging enthusiasts, and the grassy hills offer more than plenty of wide open space to make this stop a must-visit if you’re looking to spend some time outside in the Lake Travis area.

about central park
Nice park but it would be great if there were a volleyball court in the park. there are at least 15 to 20 families from Ladera waiting to see it happen someday. and I am one of them.
Thanks.
