I can’t say enough good things about beer. Benjamin Franklin once said, “Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.” I have a feeling he knew the value of a good ale.
This Saturday I set out with my camera in tow to partake in the festivities happening at Infamous Brewing Company out on Hudson Bend. Saturday their tap room was open for Lake Travis residents to sample their newest brews, as well as a few favorites, such as the bestseller, the Hijack Cream Ale.
The afternoon was warm, the sun was golden and the beers were flowing out on the Bend. Tours were available throughout the day and as friends came and went, so did the the hours in the day. It’s a little too easy to spend an afternoon chatting and joking over a few brews.
Infamous has that welcoming neighborhood-type feel to it, and Lake Travis residents came out in droves to savor the hoppy and malty flavors of their beers. Grab a pint in a mason jar and saddle up to a picnic table with your friends for a Saturday well-spent.
Oh, and IBC is still looking for volunteers to help run the tap room on Fridays and Saturdays. So check out their schedule for more information and where to sign up. I know I’ll be back!
