Happy hour is special. There’s a history about where the term “Happy Hour” comes from and it’s hard to believe that 23 states have banned happy hour. Fortunately, that’s not the case here in the Lake Travis area.
If you’re looking for a happy hour to start your week or one to get the weekend started, we have you covered. Plenty of local establishments offer you happy hour specials on drinks and food throughout the week and weekend.
Here’s a rundown of places to get you “happy” in Lakeway and Bee Cave.
Lakeway Happy Hour
These local restaurants are just an Uber ride away from the hub of Lakeway.
Cho Sushi has one location in Lakeway and another in Steiner Ranch, both offering you happy hour seven days a week — but at different times.
- Monday through Thursday from 4:30pm-7:00pm with $5 cocktails
- Thursday, Friday and Saturday 4:30pm-7:00pm & 9:00pm to close
- Sunday all day with a special Ladies Night on Wednesdays from 3:00pm-10:00pm (Steiner Ranch Location is closed on Sundays)
All happy hours include $4-$5 sushi, $5-7$ appetizers, $4 house wine, $4.50 sake, $1 off beer.
The Grove Wine Bar & Kitchen has what they call “Social Hour” seven days a week.
Pretty straight forward — Monday through Saturday from 4:00pm-6:30pm and Sunday from 10:30am-6:30pm with $2 off drinks and bites. Not to mention the view isn’t that shabby either!
Table 620 gets your happy hour started early with Monday through Friday specials from 2:30pm-6:30pm.
Specials include a Wine Not Monday with half price select glasses of wine, 25% off select whiskeys and bourbons on Whiskey Wednesday, and $3 Prosecco Mimosas for Sunday Brunch from 10am to 2pm.
Fore Restaurant is another seven day happy hour spot with a few extra bonuses.
Monday you’ll get drink and appetizer specials all day from 11:00am-11:00pm and a $5 Burger Plate night.
Tuesday through Sunday happy hour is from 4:00pm-7:00pm.
All happy hours include select appetizers and house wine $1-$3 off and signature cocktails up to $2 off.
Plus they have their Power Hour from 4:00pm-5:00pm Tuesday-Sunday with half price appetizers.
Santa Catarina is located in the Lakeway Plaza Center and will have you saying “yay” for seven day happy hours!
All week long enjoy half price appetizers, $2 off margaritas and $1 off beer from 4:00pm-6:00pm.
The League is just across the parking lot from Santa Catarina and offers you happy hour from 3:00pm-7:00pm Monday through Friday.
So you can start there, hop across the parking lot and then come back. You will enjoy half price appetizers, $1 off mixed drinks and $2 off beer.
Sundancer Grill has dining on Lake Travis all year long with a Monday through Friday happy hour from 4pm-6pm.

High 5 is the only happy hour in the Lake Travis area that you can combine with bowling.
Enjoy a $5 appetizer menu, $5 craft cocktails, $5 craft beer pints, and $5 well drinks — Sunday through Thursday from 3pm-close, Friday 3pm-8pm. High 5!
Happy Hour at the Hill Country Galleria, Bee Cave
If you are closer to the 71 side of things, the Hill Country Galleria is the perfect place to park and sample several happy hour spots.
Hasler Brothers Steakhouse is a nice upscale restaurant offering half off select wine and bottles and half off appetizers (excluding cheese plates) Monday through Friday 5:00pm-7:00pm.
Cindy’s Bar & Grille is right behind Hasler Brothers and a different experience all together — very low key bar and grille style. You might want to grab one of their fabulous burgers and fresh fries while you’re there.
They have drink specials all day, every day with $2.50 select beer and $3.50 margaritas.
Happy hour is from 3:00pm-7:00pm with $1 off draft beer.
Tadashi is located next to the Cinemark movie theater and has happy hour Monday through Friday from 3:00pm-6:00pm.
House wine is $4, draft Kirin is $2.50 and appetizers run $2-$4 with select roll specials.
We Olive offers a intimate space to enjoy a glass of wine or beer.
Monday through Friday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm they have $3 off wine, $2 off beer, $3-$5 off appetizers, $7 off bottles and a complimentary bread plate with your wine.
Iron Cactus has an outdoor patio with a fire pit and seating that overlooks the amphitheater.
Enjoy happy hour Monday though Friday from 4:00pm-7:00pm with $3 wine and beer and $3 off tequila and appetizers.
And since calories don’t count during happy hour, you might as well grab some of those sinfully delicious Mexican donuts!
Chisos Grill is setup for you to enjoy your happy hour on their outdoor patio in the shade of the Live Oak trees.
Monday to Friday from 3pm-6:30pm with a $5 cocktail of the day, $2 off all 20 ounce drafts, $2 off wine by the glass, and 25% off all wine bottles.
On weekdays from 5pm to 6:30pm, all appetizers are half-off.
Sonesta Meridian 98 Rooftop Bar & Eatery is one of the best locations to enjoy a sunset along with your happy hour.
Catch specials Monday through Thursday from 4:00pm-7:00pm with $2 off craft cocktails wine and beer.
Worth the trip
Jack Allen’s Kitchen has a location on Highway 71 in Oak Hill and one at 360 and Westlake Drive. Either location will not disappoint, but you may need to order a double after you get through the parking situation.
Jack Allen’s happy hour is Monday through Friday from 3:00pm – 7:00pm with half price appetizers, $1 off all drinks and $4 off bottles of wine.
