You probably zip by Bellezza Salon & Boutique multiple times a day if you live in the Lake Travis area. It’s just off the road at 3900 Ranch Road 620 South next to Bee Cave Veterinary Clinic and Lake Point Nails.
The next time you drive by that purple roadside sign, do yourself a favor and turn in. Carve a few minutes out of your day to stroll into Bellezza Salon. You’ll soon discover it’s hard to leave empty-handed.
Bellezza is more than a salon, it’s a full-service beauty experience. Maybe that’s why it has been in Lake Travis for 11 years with many of the same hair-extraordinaires at the helm since the day it opened.
The owner, master stylist and colorist, Lindsay Kelly, has been doing hair since she was 19. In fact, she went to cosmetology school at Baldwin Beauty School, owned by LT’s hair guru, Wendi Baldwin.
Wendi recalls, “Lindsay showed so much zest for our industry, even though she was very young. She excelled quickly and mastered her skills beautifully. In the beauty industry, students are taught that 80% of a stylist’s success is based on their character. Lindsay and her great team of stylists have demonstrated class and professionalism in every sense of the word.”
Lindsay, who originally hails from Southern Arizona, moved to Austin with her husband in 2002. She had one thing in mind and that was launching a career.
She had friends at the time in cosmetology school and the more she heard about it, the more she knew that was the right path.
After graduating top of her class from Baldwin Beauty School, Lindsay opened Bellezza with her husband and brought 6 stylists with her.
Over the years, Bellezza has grown from 1,800 square feet to 3,300 square feet in the exact same location it occupies today taking over the two spaces adjacent to the original spot. The staff size has doubled and the services they offer has quadrupled. Bellezza is everything you would expect to find in a hair salon and much more.
In addition to hair services like cuts, color and hair extensions, they offer makeup, tanning (booth and airbrush), and skin care. They also have an in-store boutique with clothing, accessories, makeup, styling products, and a cute selection of shoes.
As a business owner and resident in Lake Travis, Lindsay welcomes growth in the area.
“We fell in love with this community when we moved here 15 years ago and we love calling it home.” Lindsay adds, “We love to be a part of so many lives in a meaningful way. We look forward to growing with the area and building even more lasting relationships in the years to come.”
Residents may gripe about the increased traffic, but Lindsay laughs, “I was just at a market in LA to find new clothes for the boutique. Now that’s traffic!”
Lindsay and her husband are avid golfers, which is one reason Lake Travis is a great place to call home. She combines her love of golf with her love of philanthropy to support the LT community. They play in golf tournaments throughout the year to help raise funds for organizations like Lake Travis Education Foundation.
Last month, Bellezza Salon and two stylists, Ashley Youngstrom and Grace Munroe, donated a portion of sales from services to Breast Cancer Resource Center, an Austin-based organization dedicated to supporting community of survivors, lifers, and thrivers of breast cancer.
