Beautiful scenery, active lifestyle opportunities, great schools and great communities are all great reasons to live in the Lake Travis area. Proximity to one of the most vibrant downtowns in the country with access to all the culture and events is an added bonus.
This weekend, twenty-four blocks of 6th Street will be transformed into The Pecan Street Fall Festival.
This is one of the longest running festivals (30+ years) and a Top 5 Austin Event.
We know that sometimes it’s hard to leave the Lake Travis area, but we wanted to be sure and tell you about it in case you feel like escaping our beautiful bubble by heading for downtown Austin this weekend. I promise we’ll still be here when you get back.
If you’ve never been, this family-friendly event features over 275 artists and artisans, three stages of live music, a wide variety of ethnic and regional food, interactive workshops for kids, petting zoo, face painting, magicians, festival rides, and a diverse crowd that will guarantee weirdness.
The weekend forecast is calling for plenty of sunshine and a Real Feel of HOT! Be prepared to deal with some sun, some heat, and parking. An event this big can make finding a spot a bit challenging. Have some cash to pay for close-in parking or bring your walking shoes.
The Pecan Street Festival is a dog-friendly event, pups are welcome and admission is FREE!
