Food and Brew at Route 12 Filling Station in Dripping Springs

If you live in Dripping Springs or your kiddos happen to play baseball for Lonestar Baseball Central, or you find yourself on Hwy 12 for a leisurely drive — Ranch to Market Road 12, that is — you may have noticed all of the cars in the parking lot right near the Fitzhugh Road intersection.

Something’s afoot. But what?

Route 12 Filling Station opened in mid-January and Dripping Springs is buzzing about the delicious food, cold brew, and craft cocktails with local spirits.

You’ve been waiting since you heard the news last summer and it’s finally here.

Yes, LT-ers, The Ginger Man is officially open for business at the Hill Country Galleria. The inviting open-air space will make you feel like you’ve stepped out of the hustle and bustle of Lakeway and into your favorite European pub.

The Ginger Man is an Austin original with a well-earned spot in the chronicles of beer history.

The Ginger Man first opened in Houston in 1985, and unlike every other American bar, they offered more than 70 beers on tap. Most places just served domestic brew with a few imports. In contrast, The Ginger Man served beer from around the world. And lots of it.

Yeah, that craft beer concept kinda exploded, huh? Call them the pioneers.

With more than 10 of their very own specialty craft beers to choose from, the release of Infamous+Sam Adams Oyster Stout, and a recent brewing agreement with Solid Rock Brewery gives Infamous Brewing Company a myriad of reasons to celebrate.

At Lake Travis Lifestyle, we’re all about supporting local beer. That’s why we’ve followed Infamous Brewing Company during their journey in the Texas Hill Country.

In 2013, we welcomed the new brewery to the Lake Travis area with outreached frosted glasses.

In 2014, we announced the exciting news about their tap room addition and then we showed you what a typical Saturday looks like during tap room hours.

It just makes sense to celebrate their 4-year anniversary. What a milestone!
