Lake Travis Area Weekend Roundup: April 10th – April 12th

With so much going on this weekend, it’s going to be hard to choose what to do.

Close to home we have the First Annual Mighty Kite Flight at Bee Cave Central Park on Sunday. It’s the time of year for a pic in the bluebonnets — take a drive around town and out to the Hill Country to enjoy the peak of wildflower season. It’s also a great time of year for berry picking at Sweet Berry Farm.

Visit the big city for the 5th Annual Family Water Festival or take your place in the largest 10K race in Texas at the Statesman Cap10K on Sunday morning. Another race taking place this weekend is the 5th Annual Run to the Sun Relay beginning at Enchanted Rock State Park and finishing at Camp Mabry.

It’s hard to believe we are already three months into 2015 — welcome to the first weekend in April!

We have your weekend roundup of live music in the Lake Travis area and places to go for Easter Brunch on Sunday. You’ll also find a good mix of local events, big city events (with a pet theme), and events that are worth taking a drive out to the Hill Country.

Lake Travis Area Weekend Events: March 27th – March 29th

Spring has arrived and so has the weather we’ve all been waiting for! Plenty of sunshine and temps in the 80’s will make it the perfect weekend to enjoy some of your favorite Lake Travis area patios along with this weekend’s live music lineup — especially after a day of raking leaves!

Easter events are kicking off this weekend with Eggstravaganza at Lakeway City Park. Take a drive downtown and kick-off spring at the Zilker Garden Festival or catch the final weekend of Rodeo Austin. Make a trip out to the Hill Country for berry picking and The Mike Cupps Memorial Lawnmower Races at Sweet Berry Farm.
