The triple digits are upon us. Last weekend was quite the scorcher! It’s funny how a little break from the 100 plus temps – like mid 90’s – can feel so much better. And this weekends forecast for the Lake Travis area is looking like the mercury could stay out of the dreaded triple digit zone.

Find yourself some shade and head out to enjoy the last days of summer before school starts! Here are a few things to do this weekend in the Lake Travis area.

Movie Night Under The Stars

Kick your weekend off this Friday night with a movie under the stars. Movie Night at the Glenn Theatre starts at 7:30p. Come dressed as your favorite movie character and enjoy live music by Alex Moorman and a showing of Fantastic Mr. Fox. Overall, this PG rated movie is pretty clean. 3 Predictions: Lake Travis Area Real Estate Market Update

As we approach the end of August and the beginning of the school year in the Lake Travis area, sellers thinking about listing their home for sale are wondering if they missed the peak. Buyers are wondering if now is the time to get a better deal.

Here are my three predictions as the rest of the year will fly by and we head into 2014:

Tomlinson's – Pet Lovers Helping Lake Travis Area Pet Owners

Part of what makes living in the Lake Travis area so awesome is waking up in the morning and taking in the surrounding hill country views. It can be just the motivation you need—along with a good cup of coffee— to get up and going in the morning. If that doesn’t work, then having a four legged friend jumping on your head and begging you for a morning walk just might do the trick.

We love our pets! And most of our pets love to eat, play, and eat some more. When it’s time to fill up the food bucket or grab a few new toys and treats, then load up Fido and head on over to Tomlinson’s. You’ll be supporting a local business and doing your part to Keep Austin Weird. They opened their first store in 1946 down on 49 1/2 Street. That same store is now part of seven Austin area stores. They have quite the history here in the Austin area.
