Lucy’s on the Lake is open and we think most of you would agree it’s lovely to see this spectacular view of Lake Travis once again. Ah, we’ve missed you!
In addition to the beautiful lake view, Lucy’s offers a huge amount of outside seating, a new stage, a banquet room, a playground for the kiddos and delicious fried chicken.
But wait, there’s more.
If you were a patron of Iguana Grill, you’ll notice a lot of cool upgrades that makes Lucy’s on the Lake even better. Here’s the inside scoop:
In honor of being on the lake, Lucy’s has a few extra treats on the menu like Bikini Bites and Hippie Hollow Shrimp Cocktail — not to mention there are fresh raw veggies, grilled organic veggies and gluten free tenders.
Don’t get us wrong, it’s all about the chicken at Lucy’s, but there’s still tasty options on the menu for the health nuts who refuse to eat fried foods. (You know who you are!)
The expanded patio and outdoor seating as far as the eye can see steals the show. The outside bar, the new stage — everything at Lucy’s — takes full advantage of the views. Gorgeous!
Lucy’s has created an accommodating outdoor environment so you can fit more people on the patio much more comfortably. There are many outside seating locations to choose from, so whether you’re relaxing and socializing with adults or you’re in parent mode with the kiddos, it’s easy to find the right spot to get your grub on.
You won’t find yourself doing the awkward chair dance either. “Can I borrow this chair?” “Are you using that chair?” It’s all benches and picnic-style seating which is great … especially if you’re eating with a big group. Table of five, seven or nine? It’s all good. Odd numbers won’t make you the odd man out.
If you have young children, you’ll appreciate the enhanced play area with big tires to climb on (and jump off!) and the dome jungle gym climber.
Of course, if there isn’t live music, the kiddos tend to play on the stage. Thanks to how the stage is situated and the laid-back vibe, there’s plenty of room for impromptu kiddo antics. There’s also a sand box in the playground, so if you have a toddler and you’re a fan of “good clothes,” you should mentally prepare yourself. đ
The inside dining is bright and cheery with lake-inspired decor and Lucy’s signature style. If you’re bringing out-of-towners or in-towners and you want a keepsake other than a selfie with Lake Travis, you can purchase Lucy’s merchandise that is also on display.
What’s the most exciting news of all?
BRUNCH! Yes, Lucy’s on the Lake serves an amazing brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The deep fried french toast with Dr. Pepper syrup is divine! The brunch-y cocktails like Mansfield Martini, Texas Sunset, The Lake Cooler and Juicy Lucy beckon you to stay and enjoy the view.
