Let’s face it, when you take the kiddos out for dinner it adds up quickly. And that’s just based on my experience feeding two boys. Ramp it up a notch to families of three or more children and you’re talking some serious cash for supper, even fast food. How many times have you hit the drive thru and winced at the total? Yikes!
We have so many great restaurants in the Lake Travis area, sometimes it’s hard to keep up with all of the cool specials they offer. That’s why we’re happy to provide you with a list of local spots that have Kid’s Nights where your hungry buckaroos can eat for free — or pretty close.
If we’ve missed your favorite spot that offers sweet deals for tiny gourmets, please let us know!
Fuddruckers – On Monday nights, kid’s meals are .99 with an adult purchase. Kids meals are for kiddos 12 and under and include favorites like hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese, and chicken tenders. Meals come with a drink, a cookie and choice of: fries, apple wedges, fruit cup, BBQ beans or coleslaw.

Sundancer Grill – This awesome lake front spot (where Shades Cafe was located) is another Monday treat. You can get one free kid’s entree per adult entree for kids 12 and under. Kids meals are served with a beverage, fries and fruit and entree options for the tots include hamburgers, cheeseburgers, popcorn shrimp, chicken strips and grilled cheese.

Iguana Grill – It’s not exactly a Kid’s Night in the traditional sense, but if your kiddo likes fajitas, you can’t go wrong with 2 for 1 fajitas at Iguana Grill. Every Monday night, Iguana delights its patrons with delicious fajitas, referred to as the “best steak fajitas of anywhere” on TripAdvisor. 😉 Sit back, relax and enjoy lake-mex with a view.

Tony C’s – If your kiddos like pizza, make sure you check out Tony C’s on Tuesdays where you can snag two award-winning pizzas for the price of one! Austin’s original coal-fired pizza is truly a taste of New York in the Hill Country. You can build your own pizza or try specialty pies like Mulberry Meatball, Prosciutto & Goat Cheese or Fig & Honey just to name a few. No matter how you slice it, it’s delish.
12800 Hill Country Blvd., Suite G160
Austin, TX, 78738
Chili’s – Chili’s in the Hill Country Galleria doesn’t advertise a set Kid’s Night, but if you sign up for their Email Club you will receive Kids Eat Free coupons 1-2 times per month that can usually be redeemed on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday night. Their kid’s menu is big — about 12 different meals including corn dogs, pizzas, grilled chicken (a Kids LiveWell item), chicken strips and more.

Wow thanks for this. I didn’t even know about Sundancer so that was great tip by itself. I will check out the others too.
