Written by Cathy Hale | September 19, 2018

Table 620 at H-E-B Lakeway quickly became a fav new dining destination in Lake Travis as soon as it opened its doors. A restaurant with a full bar in a fantastic, new grocery store? Yes, please!

But just like every other business in the Lake Travis area, you have your gripes and grins about Table 620.

I would say the grins far outweigh the gripes – terrific wait staff and managers, live music, happy hours and specials. An added grin is they’re rolling out a tasty new expanded menu today.

So what’s the gripe?

Moms agree the playscape is more problematic than playful. Oy!

Lake Travis Junior Reporter Beams “Booyah!” for Colin’s Hope Kids Triathlon

Written by Cathy Hale | September 12, 2018

A few weeks ago, local area children on a mission to support Colin’s Hope gathered at Lake Pointe for the 2018 Colin’s Hope Kids Triathlon. LTL’s junior reporter, Aria Koberg, a fifth-grader at Lakeway Elementary, participated in the triathlon with her twin sister Allegra and her brother Trajan. Since Aria’s an aspiring writer, we asked her to share her experience with the Lake Travis community. Enjoy!

It was a hot and sticky morning on August 26, 2018, the day of the Colin’s Hope Kids Triathlon. This event is one of many throughout the year in memory of Colin Holst and his family’s goal to educate the world on water safety and drowning prevention.

Kids from all around Austin woke up excited to show off their skillz. And parents were excited too — talk about coaching from the sidelines!

On August 29, even though this workshop wasn’t open for public comment, dozens of folks showed up to hear the discussions between Bee Cave Planning and Zoning Commission and the Bee Cave City Council.

Why do you ask?

There’s a proposal for a new development. And guess where it is …

Spanish Oaks. That’s right. This 80-acre development is called The Village at Spanish Oaks.

*brains go kaboom*

Here’s a look at the new businesses headed to Bee Cave including residential digs, retail shops, and goat-tastic yoga. Let’s see what’s coming into our ever-expanding Lake Travis area, shall we?
