Lake Travis at a Glance: New Cakery Bakery Moving In, Flint Rock Roadwork & Honoring Veterans in Lakeway

Last week, we chatted about the business boom in the Lake Travis area and we’ve only just begun.

Today we’ve got the details on a new bakery moving into the space formerly occupied by Sweet Bakery in Lakeway. And it looks delicious!

We’ve also got details about the status of Flint Rock Road, Flint Rock Trace and Lohmans Spur roadwork and here’s a hint: not done yet, but it will be soon.

Plus, the Spirit of Freedom monument in Lakeway is accepting names of local veterans for Veterans Day 2017.

Lake Travis at a Glance: Hill Country Indoor Promises Awesomeness, FOUND Boutique Opens & the Iron Cactus Replacement

It’s hard to believe Lake Travis area kiddos will be heading back to school in less than four weeks. We won’t call it a “lazy summer” though based on the traffic on FM 620 — lots of big trucks means lots of construction is happening in and around the area.

The Lake Travis boom is bringing exciting new businesses to our community like Hill Country Indoor, which is set to open in September.

We’ve got the details on this amazing indoor sports facility and it’s so cool, we’re going to use millennial slang to describe it. Let’s just say it’s “goat” — that should mean “greatest of all time” — and we can only use that slang once in a while or it’s meaningless, so hopefully we’re supes legit now. (Idk.)

Another new business that opened in the Oaks at Lakeway is FOUND boutique. We’re going to take a peek inside.

Plus, everyone is asking us about what’s going to happen at the former Iron Cactus space. Well, we’ve got good news and juicy rumors to explore.

Lake Travis at a Glance: The Ginger Man Coming to HCG, Falconhead Tenants & Trash Bills

The bees, wasps, yellow jackets and hornets aren’t the only thing buzzing in the Lake Travis area this summer. There’s news buzzing too.

Have you heard The Ginger Man has officially inked a lease in the Hill Country Galleria?

We’ve also got sushi, wings, and fresh ice cream headed to Gateway at Falconhead, which is currently under construction.

If you’re a Lakeway resident, you may have noticed your solid waste bill was a bit higher this month. We’ll explain why.
