That’s the home of the next mixed-use project in the Lake Travis area, Gateway at Falconhead.

When all is said and done, it will consist of nearly 47,000 square feet of retail space and 80,000 square feet of office space. The retail space is expected to be up-and-running first.

This has a lot of you wondering who your new neighbors will be …

New restaurants?

New shops?

Another bank?

Plus, when you take a closer look at Gateway to Falconhead, you’ll understand why this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the never-ending build-out of Lake Travis.

H&M in Lake Travis is Open for Business. Yay or Nay?

Written by Cathy Hale | October 20, 2016

Almost exactly 10 months ago to the day, we first started talking about H&M coming to Lake Travis. Now it’s here and it’s open for business with plenty of skinny jeans for everyone.

The Hill Country Galleria in Bee Cave is the home to this new store, the 26th H&M location in Texas. There’s only one other H&M in Austin and it’s located in The Domain.

The new department store is big and shiny and chock-full of clothing and accessories. So we want to know what you think, Lake Travis friends.

Is it “OMG!” yay or {yawn} nay?

Since the grand opening this summer, we’ve heard a little bit of both.

Inspired by Elisa Graves: National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Lake Travis

Written by Cathy Hale | October 13, 2016

In 2005, Lake Travis resident Elisa Graves was over-the-moon about her beautiful five-month-old daughter when she got the devastating news that she had breast cancer. It was Stage IIA Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer.

Elisa vividly remembers the sheer disbelief …

“I was in my 30’s, with my precious daughter, loving life more than ever because my dreams of being a mom had finally come true after the loss of three second trimester babies — our precious gift from God was more amazing than I could have ever imagined,” Elisa recalls.

“Aside from new mommy fatigue, I felt great!”

“There was no way I was sick. This has to be a mistake.”

As the reality of her cancer diagnosis slowly sunk in, within five days of receiving the news from her doctor Elisa began her treatment journey with her head held high.
