With the completion of H-E-B at one end and High 5 on the other, construction of the spaces in between that will fill out the middle section of the Oaks at Lakeway has been rolling along as the peak of a Lake Travis summer is upon us.
13 new places for food and treats have grabbed up space and are ready (or getting ready) for you to discover at the Oaks at Lakeway. Several places opened up this summer. Others are dealing with construction delays. Several have “coming soon” signs in the window. So you can’t try out all 13 places just yet.
After a healthy lunch stop at MAD Greens, that was negated with a stop at the must-try Creamistry, I did a couple of laps around the development to share the latest food choices at the Oaks at Lakeway.
Let’s start out with what is open:
MAD Greens
Sakura Sushi & Bar
Creamistry
MOD Pizza
Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers
Subway
Coming Soon?
Several signs went up as soon as the dirt started flying at the Oaks at Lakeway. And one of those signs was for Torchy’s Tacos.
At one point, there was talk that Torchy’s wasn’t coming to Lakeway. But now it’s starting to look much more official that Torchy’s Tacos is definitely coming to Lakeway! Construction is underway (I actually witnessed people working on-site) and the Torchy’s website has launched a “coming soon” page for Lakeway. How much longer will they make us wait!?

Opening soon talk has been going on since January for two of the larger and locally owned restaurants in the Oaks at Lakeway. Construction is coming along on both places, but it looks like there’s still quite a bit of work to be done on McArthur’s (from Lakeway resident Alan McArthur) and Trattoria Toscano (a new restaurant from the owner of Siena Ristorante Toscana).

The “Coming Soon” list comes to a finish with crepes & coffee, frozen yogurt, smoothies, and a hamburger joint with a location unknown. Most of these places have announced openings in the late summer and fall.
Vivel Crepes & Coffee
Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt
Smoothie King
Hat Creek Burger Company

Love Mad Greens! Great salads! My fav so far is the Bonnie Parker with Honey Smoked Salmon subbed for the slow-roasted chicken!
