1). Hampton Inn & Suites Austin – Lakeway – Conveniently located on RR 620, this 70 room hotel is a good choice for both families and business travelers. It has the amenities you’d expect, including a fitness room, pool, free breakfast, wifi, etc.
2). Holiday Inn Express – This brand new hotel offers another good lodging choice in the Lake Travis area. It also has a fitness center, outdoor pool and the basic amenities. It’s clean, comfortable and convenient to area shopping and outdoor recreation.
3). Lake Austin Spa Resort – One of the top resorts in the country is right in our backyard. Condé Nast Traveler Magazine rated the Lake Austin Spa Resort as Gold List Platinum Circle 5 years in a row, while Travel + Leisure Magazine rated it the #3 Destination in the World, 2013. Located on Lake Austin, where Quinlan Park Rd. meets the lake, it’s easily accessible but a world away.
4). La Villa Vista Resort – This unique and romantic bed and breakfast located near the Oasis provides a relaxing getaway for its guests. There is a negative edge pool and hot tub and gorgeous views of Lake Travis. The villa offers a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer and plenty of space for a large family.
5). Lakeway Resort and Spa – The 175 room Lakeway Resort and Spa offers a view of Lake Travis with all the accommodations and amenities of a full-service resort including a full-service spa, fitness center, multiple swimming pools, nearby golf and tennis courts.
6). Lake Travis Tree Lodge – Ok, this lodging option isn’t large enough to fit the entire Griswold clan, but it’s so cool we had to include it. It’s a secluded 2 room guesthouse with a gorgeous view of Lake Travis. It’s a great way to get in touch with nature and explore many of the things the hill country has to offer.
7). Mountain Star Lodge – Conveniently located on RR 620, the Mountain Star Lodge has 36 guest rooms and 4 suites. It offers a complimentary breakfast in the mornings and has many amenities including an outdoor pool and free health club access.
8). Robin’s Nest B&B – This Bed & Breakfast on Lake Travis is located on two acres of land with four houses (formerly fishing cottages) spaced far enough away from one other to insure privacy. Pets are welcome.
9). Roli’s Bed & Breakfast – Roli’s, located on Lake Travis, prides itself on not being a traditional B&B. The ambiance instead boasts a “hip, alternative style.” With 6 rooms, this relaxing retreat offers plenty of amenities including private baths, balconies with gorgeous views and a free full breakfast each morning.
10). Travaasa Austin– Driving into this resort you can feel things are different. Located among giant live oak trees in the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve, it’s an active resort and spa that gets you in touch with nature. TripAdvisor named Travaasa Austin a Top 10 Destination spa.
